Chinese School Christmas Dance Recital

Chinese School did a wonderful job of creating a dance recital for all age groups. They choreographed the dances, made the sets and sewed the costumes. The pictures here are of the 4-6 year old group. They were the best ~ naturally!

I want a Chinese Theme B'day Party Mommy

YIKES! How does one create a Chinese Themed B'day party when there are virtually NO Kai Lan party supplies?! Well, you call Joy! She drew and decoupaged the Kai Lan characters onto Chinese newspaper - you can see that they turned out great! And, we bought a rectangle box made out very colorful paper and much to our surprise, we found chinese outfits made out of paper. The English speaking Chinese person we asked about this, explained that the paper outfits are to be placed over your garments to keep them clean. Very interesting! So, our own little house became a Chinese party for a few hours.... Success~
