Dr. Chloe
Yesterday, Chloe decided it was time to give her baby some medicine. She declared, "It worked, now she can go play!" Playtime is a great way to get information, don't you think?
A Big Surprise for Chloe

Recovery and Home
Coming out of anaesthesia, Chloe was a little loopy and confused. Poor thing. She cried and was uncomfortable for about 30 minutes. When she complained about hunger, the nurse quickly got her a popsicle. After her third popsicle, momma suggested that Chloe finish her juice. Chloe and I waited for Dadda to bring the car around so we wouldn't get wet in the rain. Chloe was still a little bit loopy, but content. She was pretty happy by the time we got home and she ate some ice cream. All in all, Chloe Jean Ju had a positive experience with surgery.
Surgery Day
Chloe was silly, inquisitve and chatty on the day of surgery. The first thing she said to our nurse was, "Excuse me, excuse me, where are my jammies?" She was quite comfortable, although a bit hungry. We played with our hospital bands and took some pictures of the patient. When it was time to go to surgery, I carried her as far as I could and explained that she had to go with the nice doctors and nurses. "Chloe would you like someone to carry you or would you like to walk?" "I want to walk." Chloe took the surgeon's hand and walked into the OR. What a girl!!
Pre-Surgery Activities
Chloe and I took a pre-surgery tout the day before surgery. The lovely Child Life Speciaist at the hospital showed Chloe the room she would be in and all the equipment that the staff would use on her tomorrow. Chloe is giving her baby "Sleepy Air" and checking her temperature. The Lovely Child Life Specialist gave Chloe a doll that she colored with markers and put a very sad face on it. Chloe fell in love with the Lovely Child Life Specialist.
